The 2017 Kia Sorento earned the highly sought after Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). To qualify for a TSP+ rating the Sorento must earn “good” ratings in the small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side impact, roof strength and head restraints categories. Qualified vehicles must also have an “advanced” or ‘superior” rating for front crash prevention.
