Kia Motors’ hard-earned reputation for delivering world-class quality and reliability across its model line has been reinforced by Strategic Vision who named Kia the highest quality brand under $26,000 in the research-based consultancy’s Total Quality Impact (TQI) study. Leading the pack is the 2016 Kia Sorento and Sedona which received the highest score in their respective categories.
Kia Motors is recognized as one of the highest quality brands in the industry. The TQI is the automotive industry’s most complete measure of the quality of a new vehicle. It encompasses the quality of the vehicle itself, as well as the quality of the experience of owning and driving it. Strategic Vision has captured in its unique TQI score the complete, holistic measure of experience that encompasses positive and negative product experience, including reliability, driving excitement, and other aspects of dealership experiences – all energized by the emotional response associated with the experiences.
Strategic Vision surveys new car owners to rate their vehicles on:
- Problems with the vehicle. They take into account the number of problems with the vehicle and their severity.
- Tangible aspects of the vehicle. New car buyers are surveyed about the features such as, seat comfort, effectiveness of the side mirrors and how the vehicle feels taking corners.
- Intangible aspects of the vehicle. These can include how intuitive your information and entertainment interface is, how mindful the designing engineers were of you and your needs, and the image the vehicle conveys to your friends and family.
- Emotional aspects of the experience. They measure how strongly a new car buyer feels about their vehicle, which emotions are felt, and why they feel the way they do.
The Kia Sorento won the Mid-Size CUV Segment with owners praising it having excellent value and premium interior design. Kia Sedona owners gave the Mini-Van high marks for its innovative features, interior craftsmanship, and performance.
