Since 2008 Kia has proudly stood by their 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty, which is exceptional compared to the rest of the automotive industry.
Other makes like Subaru, Toyota, Nissan and Honda have a 5 year, 60,000 miles warranty which seems to be the standard across the board. Higher end makes like BMW, Infinity and Acura will push theirs to more years and more miles, but Kia’s stand strong against the competition. Kia has said that they “have a lot of confidence in the quality and curability of every new Kia that rolls off the assembly line”
So, what makes Kia’s warranty so much better than the other guys? The Kia 10-year/100,000-mile warranty program consists of:
- 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty
- 5-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty
- 5-year/100,000-mile limited anti-perforation warranty
- 5-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance plan for toll free assistance, emergency roadside assistance, and trip interruption coverage.
Of course, as with all warranties, there are limitations, but Kia has made them all readily available here.
At the end of the day, Kia stands by their promise of piece of mind and wants to help shield their drivers from unexpected repair bills.
